This afternoon (August 14), continuing the working program in Sydney, Australia. The delegation of Dien Bien province participated in the Seminar to promote cooperation between Dien Bien, Hue, Tay Ninh and Australian partners. Attending the meeting were the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and more than 120 senior Australian business leaders; the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney, Dien Bien, Tay Ninh provinces and Hue City.

Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Dien Bien province spoke at the seminar.

Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council emphasized that “organizing a forum to promote cooperation between Vietnamese provinces and cities with Australian partners is very important in connecting and further promoting the relationship between the two countries, especially between localities and businesses of both sides.

He reiterated the cooperation between Dien Bien province and Australian partners in the fields of high-tech agriculture, forestry and promoting circular economy, which has promoted the cooperative relationship between the two sides and promoted the province’s high-tech agriculture sector.

Based on the potential and strengths of Dien Bien province and Australia, he suggested potential contents that the two sides can promote cooperation in the coming time such as: High-tech agriculture, especially developing Macadamia cultivation associated with processing and exporting according to the value chain; coffee processing combined with by-product treatment, technology transfer, circular cattle breeding techniques; developing wind power, renewable energy, cooperation in research, innovation, application and development of science and technology, digital transformation, education and training and healthcare./.
