(Photo: Thanh Tu\/VNA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At this year&#8217;s exhibition, Vietnam participated on an unprecedented scale, with more than 30 booths, displaying a variety of products in the field of construction materials, attracting the attention of many visitors, marking Vietnam&#8217;s presence in the global construction field.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Consul General of Vietnam in charge of New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, said that in the context of global trade tensions, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, the Ho Chi Minh City Construction and Building Materials Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Mechanical and Electrical Enterprises Association have promptly coordinated to organize a large-scale exhibition area specializing in construction materials and mechanics within the framework of Sydney Build Expo 2025.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sda_middle\">\n<div id=\"sdaWeb_SdaArticleMiddle\" class=\"rennab fyi\" data-platform=\"1\" data-position=\"Web_SdaArticleMiddle\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Consul General assessed this as an important event in the context of the industry&#8217;s supply chain between Vietnam and Australia still having great potential, with iron and steel products increasing by 61% and electric cables increasing by 53% over the same period last year in the first 3 months of 2025.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"1463103\" class=\"cms-photo lazyloaded\" title=\"Consul General Nguyen Thanh Tung (second from right) visits Vietnamese booths at the Sydney Construction Exhibition 2025. (Photo: Van Linh\/VNA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, said that since 2019, the Trade Office has stepped up promotion of products in this industry.<\/p>\n<p>Many products such as cement, iron and steel, electric cables, interior and exterior furniture, etc. continue to grow strongly.<\/p>\n<p>After the exhibition, the Trade Office will continue to connect Vietnamese businesses with projects and investment funds to participate in projects, distributors, logistics networks, and exhibition booths, thereby strengthening the supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with VNA reporters on the sidelines of the event, Mr. Dao Minh Chanh, Deputy Director of ITPC, said that Sydney Build Expo 2025 attracts tens of thousands of potential partners and visitors from Australia and the world, so this is a great opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City enterprises participating in the exhibition to expand their markets, seek potential partners and grasp prospects for exporting materials to the market of the Oceanian country, especially in the favorable context when the Vietnam-Australia relationship has been upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Representing the businesses exhibiting their products at the exhibition, Mr. Nguyen Kinh Luan, Deputy General Director of Investment and International Market of Hoa Binh Construction Group Joint Stock Company, said that Australia has a fast construction speed but is lacking in engineers and skilled workers. Therefore, this is a large and potential market for Vietnamese businesses.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. Luan, Vietnam is currently one of Asia\u2019s major centers for building materials. (Photo: Le Dat\/VNA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Showing interest and enthusiasm in admiring the products displayed at the \u201cHo Chi Minh City Pavilion,\u201d Mr. Johnathan Linnane, an engineer at the Wollongong City Council, said he was very impressed with Vietnamese brick products because they were designed in a creative and unique way.<\/p>\n<p>Agreeing with that comment, Ms. El&#8217;lena Manning, a friend who visited the exhibition with Mr. Linnne, said: \u201cFrom what I have seen here, I see a lot of innovation, creativity and a lot of good quality materials. I am really excited to see what great products the Vietnamese will introduce to our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Ms. Carmen Bawelkiewics, a visitor, said that many Australian companies are currently looking for construction materials from foreign countries, especially innovative technologies.
